Our History
Jerry (and Doreen) and Rebecca (and Dan) have been friends for over 30 years. Their friendship began in the late 80’s in St. Louis, Missouri where they met while attending the same church. Career moves for both families moved them away from each other for a time, but they were reunited once again in Indianapolis, Indiana where they presently live. They have enjoyed traveling together on group tours and often talked about their love and passion for travel. Through these talks the idea of sharing this passion with others became a frequent conversation, as Jerry was already doing this on a limited basis.
After further discussions in late 2016 and early 2017, Indy Travel Group LLC was born bringing together Jerry and Rebecca’s love of travel, their knowledge and 40+ years of combined experience in the industry, and their passion for experiencing and sharing the enrichment that travel provides. They have joined forces in creating this business as a means to create memorable travel experiences for others through Premium Escorted Tours, Cruises, Day Trips and Short Travel Excursions.
In late 2024, Rebecca made the decision to retire. Jerry will continue to operate the company with a focus on faith-based teaching tours.

About Jerry
Jerry Leuthold has over 36 years of experience in various facets of the travel industry. His travel career started with a major airline where he worked in reservations, airport operations, sales/business development and sales management, where he managed the sales team for the western half of the country.
With a young family at home, Jerry transitioned to a role with a regional travel agency based in Indianapolis, Indiana where he was responsible for business account sales, account management as well the meetings and incentive services division of the company. Jerry and his team helped business travel accounts manage their travel programs, from establishing travel policy to negotiating programs with travel suppliers.
Most recently, Jerry has enjoyed using his free time to plan, organize and escort group trips both domestically and internationally to such destinations as Israel, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington DC.
Jerry has traveled extensively throughout the United States as well as the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Europe and the Middle East.
He is passionate about travel and looks forward to creating enriching and inspiring travel experiences for others!
